David Fitzpatrick is CEO and Scientific Director of the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, the only Max Planck Institute outside of Europe. Prior to his arrival in Florida in 2011, he was the James B. Duke Professor of Neurobiology at the Duke University School of Medicine, and the Founding Director of the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences.
