Stavros Lomvardas, Columbia University, USA
Dr. Lomvardas received his BA at University of Crete, Greece and his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Columbia University. He continued his post-doctoral studies with Dr. Richard Axel also at Columbia University and started his independent career at University of California San Francisco. Currently, Dr. Lomvardas is The Roy Vagelos Chair of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Columbia University and Irving Professor at the Zuckerman Institute of Mind Brain and Behavior, at Columbia University. Dr. Lomvardas’ research is focused on the genomic mechanisms of olfactory receptor gene regulation.
