Little Havana Walking Cultural Tour

Wednesday, January 29, 14:30-17:00

An optional walking tour of the Little Havana district in Miami will be organised on Wednesday, January 29, 14:30-17:00.

Discover the rich history and heritage of this mosaic neighborhood listed as a “national treasure” by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. You will learn about the Cuban exile migration to Miami, and their social, political and artistic contributions to Miami culture. Highlights include visiting the oldest fruit marketplace for an array of tropical fruits and their uses, watching taqueros roll tobacco leaves into fine cigars, savoring flavorful foods and Cuban coffee, admiring the largest Cuban art collection outside of Cuba; to visiting a 1930s bar and swaying to the rhythms of Salsa music. A cultural immersion!

Tickets cost $35 per person when ordered in advance and include a 2.5-hour cultural walking tour as well as a Cuban coffee.

Delegates will need to arrange their own transportation to the meeting point by the Bay of Pigs monument (1305 SW 8th street, Miami, FL 33135).

Places are limited so please book early via the online registration system.
